Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate cardiac telemetry care to patients recovering from MI, CP, and lung transplants
Monitor and interpret EKGs using Philips equipment while delivering safe, high-quality nursing care
Collaborate with a dedicated Charge Nurse and PCT team to maintain excellent 1:3-4 patient ratios
Float to sister telemetry units when needed, expanding your skills across Neuro Tele and more
Complete required SIMs Lab training and demonstrate sterile technique for Foley and central line care
Support patients through detox, ER overflow, and pre-transplant journeys with empathy and expertise

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma cardiac telemetry experience
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with two attempts allowed
Must live outside a 50-mile radius of Phoenix to qualify for travel rates

Knowledge & Skills

EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
Cardiac step-down care including CPAP and high-flow oxygen
Cerner EMR documentation
Sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Safe use of lifts, restraints, and wound care protocols
