Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to ED holds waiting for placement on medical-surgical and telemetry units
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret dysrhythmias with confidence and accuracy
• Titrate cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone according to physician orders
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient transitions from the emergency department
• Support overflow needs by floating to med/surg/tele units and both Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses as needed
• Assist with ED tasks including vitals, IV starts, and medication administration when requested

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac telemetry experience within the past 6 months
• Strong dysrhythmia interpretation skills with ability to pass RELIAS exam within 48 hours of offer
• Comfortable with cardiac drip titration and reading telemetry strips independently

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Safe titration of cardiac medications including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
• Patient assessment and care for medical-surgical/telemetry overflow patients
• Strong communication and collaboration with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams
• Flexibility to float between campuses and units as census requires
