Location: Sacramento, California

End Date: 09-22-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Five 8-hour day shifts with varied start times (6:00 AM or 10:00 AM), plus overnight call once a week and 3 weekend call days per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments for complex cardiovascular procedures
Assist surgeons during CABG, valve replacements, and other heart surgeries with precision and confidence
Maintain sterile technique and anticipate the needs of the surgical team in a fast-paced environment
Collaborate with experienced CVOR staff to deliver exceptional patient care
Float to other Sacramento facilities when needed to support the broader surgical team

Qualifications

Active BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience
NIHSS certification preferred
Cerner EMR experience preferred
First-time travelers welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Strong CVOR surgical technique and confidence
Ability to read and interpret EKG strips
Comfortable working in a busy, high-volume OR with 8-10 cases daily
Flexible and adaptable to floating between Sacramento facilities
