Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing disorders with evidence-based care
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that drive patient progress
• Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and promptly
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, physicians, and family members to coordinate holistic care
• Provide education and training to patients, families, and staff to support carryover and safety
• Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives to enhance program outcomes

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent) required
• Valid Massachusetts SLP license required or active steps toward licensure
• ASHA CCC-SLP strongly preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience in medical or rehabilitation settings preferred, especially with adult populations
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills, and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of dysphagia assessment and management
• Experience with language, articulation, cognitive-communication and voice disorders
• Familiarity with standardized and functional assessment tools
• Excellent interpersonal and patient education skills
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and producing clear clinical documentation
• Ability to collaborate effectively in an interdisciplinary rehab environment
