Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to assigned patients during night shifts
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes in condition promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately in the chart
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and transitions
• Respond to patient and family concerns with professionalism and clear communication
• Prioritize tasks during busy shifts to ensure patient safety and timely interventions
• Adhere to infection control protocols and facility policies to maintain a safe environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in California required
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or obtain within facility timeframe
• Per diem or acute care nursing experience preferred, especially in night shift settings
• Strong clinical assessment skills and comfort with fast-paced environments
• Ability to pass background check and required onboarding credentials

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and triage skills for acute care scenarios
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Proficient documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Effective communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary staff
• Time management and prioritization during high-acuity shifts
