Roles & Responsibilities

Partner with clinical leaders to standardize competencies and boost patient care quality
Develop and implement evidence-based training programs for nursing and CNA staff
Support preceptorships and student clinical experiences with UAA and UAS
Streamline clinical competency programs across SEARHC facilities
Promote the Seven Standards of Excellence while collaborating on team projects
Use research to enhance professional development and improve patient outcomes
Create engaging curricula that drive employee growth and retention

Qualifications

Current full unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska or another U.S. state (must apply for Alaska license before start if direct hire)
BLS for providers required
BLS instructor certification preferred or obtain within 1 year
Clinical Competency required within 3 months and every 3 years thereafter
2 years clinical instructor or educator experience (1 year supervisory counts)
5 years professional nursing experience with at least 2 years in LTC
Supervisory experience preferred

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a BSN

Knowledge & Skills

Professional nursing principles for long-term care patients
Evidence-based training and curriculum development
Adult learner education delivery methods
Tools like TEAMS, Workday, Canva, Articulate, Smartsheet, SharePoint, PowerPoint
High-quality communication and collaboration skills
Policy compliance and competency evaluation
