Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images that help clinicians make confident decisions
• Ensure patient safety and comfort by following infection control procedures and best-practice positioning
• Collaborate with radiologists and the care team to optimize imaging protocols and patient throughput
• Administer contrast agents per protocol and monitor patients as required
• Maintain equipment, log QC checks, and report any technical issues promptly
• Accurately document procedures, patient information, and imaging findings in the electronic record
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and ALARA principles at all times

Qualifications

• ARRT registration in Radiography with CT certification or equivalent credentials (or eligible)
• State radiologic technologist license if required by assignment location
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications a plus
• Previous CT imaging experience preferred; traveler-friendly attitude and adaptability required
• Strong patient care skills and the ability to work effectively on evening and night shifts

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, Diagnostic Imaging, or related field preferred
• ARRT certification (or eligibility) in Radiography and CT

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with CT scanning protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
• Knowledge of radiation safety and dose reduction techniques
• Comfortable with IV contrast administration and monitoring
• Familiarity with PACS and electronic medical record systems
• Strong communication skills and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Troubleshooting skills for basic scanner and workflow issues
