Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage ventilator settings and provide advanced ventilator care to high-acuity patients
• Perform ABG collection and analysis to guide respiratory interventions
• Deliver bronchodilator therapy and airway clearance treatments (Vapotherm, Metaneb) safely and effectively
• Provide tracheostomy care and assist with intubation when clinically indicated
• Administer high-flow oxygen therapy and titrate respiratory support based on assessment
• Respond rapidly and confidently to code blue situations and emergency airway events
• Safely transport patients while maintaining appropriate respiratory support
• Document assessments, interventions and changes in patient status accurately using Meditech

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred
• Minimum ~2 years clinical experience (job listing notes 'Experience: 2') with one year ICU experience preferred
• Demonstrated competency with Drager and Phillips V60 ventilators and high-flow / airway clearance devices
• Comfortable with critical care workflows in a large tertiary hospital and accurate electronic documentation (Meditech)

• Ventilator management and troubleshooting (Drager, Phillips V60)
• ABG collection and interpretation to guide therapy
• High-flow oxygen therapy and non-invasive respiratory support
• Airway clearance techniques (Vapotherm, Metaneb) and tracheostomy care
• Code blue response and emergency airway assistance
• Safe patient transport and bedside assessments
• Electronic health record documentation (Meditech)
