Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips each shift to ensure patient safety
Provide compassionate care for patients with CHF, respiratory conditions, GI issues, diabetes, and post-cath recovery
Collaborate with the care team on total joint replacement and stroke recovery patients
Float to East Campus or PCU when needed to support hospital-wide patient care
Administer set-rate drips such as Diltiazem/Cardizem while closely observing patient response

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass the dysrhythmia exam with at least 80% within two attempts
Experience reading basic telemetry strips
Some background with CVA and TIA patients preferred
Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation time
Total joint replacement experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Comfort with BiPAP, CPAP, and breathing treatments
Strong assessment skills for cardiac and medical-surgical patients
Ability to work collaboratively with charge nurses and nursing assistants
Flexibility to float between units as census requires
