Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, every third weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum journey
Monitor and manage antepartum, triage, labor, postpartum, and newborn patients with a 1:2 ratio
Administer medications including Pitocin, Insulin, fluids, and antibiotics using Alaris IV pumps
Collaborate with the charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes
Support families during one of life's most meaningful moments with skill and empathy

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Minimum 1 year of LDRP nursing experience
Must pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in labor and delivery settings
Comfortable managing common drips and newborn care
Ability to work collaboratively in a small, 4-bed unit with 100-125 births per year
Flexible and willing to help in MedSurg when needed
