Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-03-2026

End Date: 09-02-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide hands-on physical therapy to a diverse caseload of 12+ patients daily
Assess and treat patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, strokes, and general medical conditions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER units
Develop individualized rehabilitation plans that help patients regain strength and independence
Document progress and adjust treatment strategies to maximize patient outcomes

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification needed
Acute Inpatient PT experience is essential
Comfort working with a variety of diagnoses including TKA, THA, spinal surgery, and CVA patients

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient assessment and clinical reasoning abilities
Experience in acute inpatient rehabilitation settings
Ability to manage a fast-paced caseload across multiple hospital units
Clear communication and teamwork skills
