Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to neuro-telemetry patients including those recovering from strokes, brain injuries, and spinal surgeries
Monitor and interpret EKGs while safely titrating critical drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver fast-paced, patient-centered care on a bustling 32-bed unit
Float to other telemetry units and ICU overflow as needed, showcasing your adaptability and clinical expertise
Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR and participate in bedside handoff reporting to ensure seamless continuity of care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
Neuro experience highly valued
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (2 attempts allowed)

Knowledge & Skills

EKG interpretation and cardiac monitoring
Titration of IV drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin
Cerner EMR documentation
Central line dressing changes and sterile technique
Foley catheter insertion
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
