Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, self-scheduling with manager balance, 2 weekends per 4-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips each shift
Provide compassionate care for patients with CHF, respiratory conditions, GI issues, diabetes, and post-cath recovery
Support patients through total joint replacement recovery journeys
Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors to deliver excellent care
Float to East Campus or PCU when needed to support the broader team
Administer set-rate drips like Diltiazem/Cardizem with precision
Work alongside nurse aides and respiratory therapists to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts
Experience reading basic telemetry strips
Some background with CVA and TIA patients preferred
Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation time
Total joint replacement experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Medical/Surgical nursing fundamentals
Patient assessment and care planning
Electronic health record documentation with Cerner
Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
