Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise nursing staff to maintain high standards of patient care and adherence to policies
• Coordinate daily nursing operations including patient assignments and staff scheduling
• Act as a clinical resource and mentor, guiding staff in development and delivery of care plans
• Conduct performance evaluations, give constructive feedback, and implement growth plans
• Ensure regulatory compliance and uphold quality standards across the unit
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address complex patient needs and optimize care
• Monitor outcomes and lead quality improvement initiatives using data-driven insights
• Manage resources efficiently to ensure adequate staffing and equipment availability
• Facilitate effective communication among staff, patients, and families to boost satisfaction
• Participate in recruitment, selection, and onboarding to build a strong nursing team

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire (must be verifiable via Nursys) — required
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited institution — required
• Minimum 5 years clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting — required
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role — required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA) — required
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Management (BSN/MSN) — highly preferred
• Leadership or specialty certifications (e.g., Nurse Executive, CNL) — highly preferred

Education

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) — Required
• Bachelor’s (BSN) or Master’s (MSN) in Nursing or Healthcare Management — Preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven acute care clinical skills and strong patient-care judgment
• Clinical leadership and staff supervision experience
• Staff scheduling and resource management expertise
• Quality improvement and regulatory compliance knowledge
• Effective mentoring, coaching, and performance management
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Ability to analyze patient/outcome data to drive improvements
