Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents at Cedar Ridge Center
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately during your shift
• Monitor and assess changes in patient condition and intervene appropriately
• Document care thoroughly and clearly in the patient record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate resident care plans
• Educate residents and families with empathy and clear communication
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and infection control practices
• Support unit operations during admissions, transfers, and critical events

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Maine licensure or eligibility for licensure required
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred when applicable
• Experience caring for adults in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation settings preferred
• Comfortable with medication administration, assessment, and common nursing procedures
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
• Reliable for travel assignment requirements and able to integrate quickly with the care team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Medication administration and documentation accuracy
• Familiarity with wound care and common long-term care interventions
• Basic IV maintenance and emergency response skills
• Clear, professional communication with patients, families, and staff
• Ability to use electronic medical records and follow documentation standards
• Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
