Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in the assigned unit
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Document patient care and clinical findings in the medical record in a timely manner
• Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Support unit workflow by collaborating with peers, charge nurses, and ancillary staff

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Current immunizations and ability to pass facility background checks
• Prior acute care or med/surg nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, reliability, and a team-player attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and care planning
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Clinical documentation and electronic medical record (EMR) familiarity
• Infection control and safety best practices
• Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
