Shift Type: Night shift (overnight), 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM. Schedule includes weekend coverage; must sign up for 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Primarily night coverage with weekend rotation.

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered telemetry care on a progressive care unit
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond quickly and confidently to clinical changes
• Document care accurately and efficiently using Cerner EMR and unit workflows
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teammates to deliver excellent outcomes
• Prepare patients for procedures such as Endoscopy, IR, and OR when needed
• Support unit flow and safety by following unit policies and participating in weekend/night coverage
• Serve as a professional, team-oriented presence on the unit and contribute to a positive work culture

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) — active and appropriate for practice in North Carolina
• Minimum 2+ years of clinical nursing experience (telemetry/med-surg or PCU preferred)
• BLS certification required
• Demonstrated experience with Medical Telemetry monitoring
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR preferred
• CMSRN encouraged and viewed favorably
• BSN preferred
• Leadership or charge nurse experience is a plus

Education

• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition skills
• Proficiency with Cerner and bedside documentation workflows
• Experience with patient observation systems (VC150 and remote telemetry)
• Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and care planning
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-centered environment
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and critical thinking abilities
