Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts including days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) and nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend, self-scheduling

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients on a mixed PCU/MedSurg unit
Monitor and titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem
Administer chemotherapy and manage patients on heparin and protonix
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case manager, social work, and dietician
Float to MedSurg and PCU units as needed to ensure coverage
Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC electronic medical records
Participate in hourly rounding to enhance patient satisfaction

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of PCU and oncology experience
First time travelers welcome
Chemotherapy certification required
ACLS and BLS required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
EPIC experience preferred
Driver's license required for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to titrate drips and manage chemotherapy
Experience with EPIC electronic medical records
Comfortable with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring (training available)
Team player with positive attitude
Excellent communication and patient education skills
