Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including weekends; schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in PCU/IMC float pool across multiple facilities
Manage and titrate cardiac drips including dopamine, dobutamine, cardizem, amio, and heparin
Administer insulin and ativan as needed
Float to various units within zone 1 including general, cardiac, neuro, oncology, rehab, and more
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Adapt quickly to different unit environments and patient populations

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/IMC experience required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Experience with cardiac drips, insulin, and ativan administration
Must be comfortable titrating multiple drips
Prior neuro and Epic experience preferred
Ability to float across a 60-mile zone including multiple facilities

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in cardiac drip management and titration
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced float environment
Excellent communication and flexibility
Experience with EPIC electronic health records preferred
