CVOR Surgical Technologist

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Start Date: 07-13-2026

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Self-scheduling and block scheduling, 40 hours per week, shifts typically 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with one weekday and one weekend call per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in a variety of complex surgeries including open heart, vascular, thoracic, general, neuro, spine, robotics, and ortho cases
Prepare and maintain the sterile field, instruments, and equipment in a 16-suite OR
Collaborate with surgeons and nursing staff to ensure smooth and safe procedures
Float to the general OR as needed to support team coverage
Respond to call within 30 minutes, utilizing the facility's call room
Participate in orientation across CVOR and General OR settings

Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
BLS certification required
Colorado DORA certification required
Open heart and endovascular surgery experience essential
Must live outside a 60-mile radius from the facility (or be willing to relocate for the contract)
Willingness to float to general OR

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in open heart and endovascular procedures
Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity OR environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Adaptability to self-scheduling and block scheduling
