Registered Nurse - PACU
Location: Lakewood, CO
Start Date: 07-13-2026
End Date: 10-12-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Variable start times (7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM) with primary shift 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM; on-call 1 night every 6 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery
- Monitor vital signs, manage pain, and assess for complications
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the care team
- Care for a diverse range of cases including ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI
- Recover ICU-level patients as needed, ensuring safe transitions
- Read and interpret telemetry strips with confidence
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 1 year of ED or ICU experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA
- Ability to float to other units as needed
- Comfortable with on-call responsibilities and 1-hour response time
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in Epic EMR
- Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience with ventilators and airway management
