Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Complete initial nursing histories and assess patient conditions to develop individualized care plans
• Triage patient care based on presenting symptoms
• Administer medications accurately and manage labor progression
• Handle medical emergencies like prolapsed cord, postpartum hemorrhage, and neonatal resuscitation
• Perform and interpret fetal heart monitoring
• Manage pregnancy-related concerns such as hypertension and diabetes
• Assess and care for newborns, including monitoring for hypoglycemia and jaundice
• Promote patient education and involve families in newborn care
• Communicate effectively with the care team and alert providers about patient changes

Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nursing license
• Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred
• BLS certification within 1 month of hire
• NRP certification within 6 months of hire
• ALSO and STABLE certifications within 1 year of hire
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification within 1 year of hire
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Intermediate proficiency with computers and healthcare systems
• Comprehensive nursing skills and knowledge of OB equipment
• Thorough understanding of triage and patient assessment
• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities
• Self-starter with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
