Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and collect diagnostic information including pulmonary function tests, sleep studies, and blood gas analysis
• Accurately assess each patient through physical examination and diagnostic data interpretation
• Apply therapeutic interventions such as medical gas therapy, aerosol therapy, airway management, and mechanical ventilation
• Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust treatments as needed
• Participate in discharge planning and case management for continuity of care
• Engage in public education activities promoting cardiopulmonary wellness
• Attend mandatory safety in-services, department meetings, and educational sessions

Qualifications

• Active and current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of Colorado
• Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
• Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Experience with mechanical ventilation, airway management, and critical care
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Education

• Completion of a respiratory therapy program from an accredited college or technical school

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in mechanical ventilation and airway management
• Skilled in pulmonary function testing and blood gas analysis
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Knowledge of invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
