Registered Nurse - Oncology PCU
Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating schedule including days, evenings, and nights; every other weekend required
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to oncology, PCU, and med-surg patients
- Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for side effects
- Titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
- Ensure hourly rounding and patient satisfaction
- Float to med-surg and PCU units as needed
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
- Minimum 1 year of recent PCU, oncology, or med-surg experience
- Chemotherapy certification required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- ONS/ONCC certification preferred
- Willingness to pass an open-book skills exam during orientation
- Driver's license required to verify distance (50-mile rule)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in EPIC electronic medical records
- Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and oncology patient care
- Thorough understanding of PCU and med-surg nursing standards
- Familiarity with titratable drips such as heparin, cardizem, insulin
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to manage diverse patient populations including trauma and oncology
