Location: Lufkin, TX

Start Date: 07-13-2026

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Days 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM; Nights 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 4 shifts per week, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to patients in both ICU and PCU settings, floating as needed
Manage complex cardiac patients post-CABG or PCI, sepsis, DKA, and respiratory failure
Titrate and monitor high-risk drips like Levophed, amiodarone, heparin, propofol, and more
Collaborate with intensivists, hospitalists, and a dedicated respiratory therapy team
Ensure safe patient ratios (2:1 in ICU, 4:1 in PCU) and maintain high-quality care
Charge nurse and monitor tech support available to help you succeed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent Critical Care experience (ICU/PCU)
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Ability to titrate drips and manage ventilated patients
Comfortable floating between ICU and PCU units

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications
Proficiency with ventilators, BiPAP, and Airvo devices
Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills
