Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care including cleanings, exams, and patient education
- Assess patients' oral health and develop personalized treatment plans
- Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
- Document patient care accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with dentists and dental team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia (or compact eligible)
- Current CPR certification (BLS) required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred
- Strong communication and patient education skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in periodontal therapy and prophylaxis
- Experience with digital x-rays and dental software
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Detail-oriented with strong infection control practices
