Registered Nurse - Case Management
Location: Carmichael, California
Start Date: 07-07-2026

Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with rotating weekend shifts at least one full weekend per month
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $82 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments and ongoing care coordination for a caseload of 15-20 patients per day
- Perform utilization review using Interqual criteria to ensure appropriate level of care
- Develop and implement discharge plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary team
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure effective communication and seamless transitions
- Manage cases for diverse patient populations including uninsured and homeless individuals
Qualifications
- Active California RN license
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Prior recent experience with Dignity Health/CommonSpirit facilities
- Ability to provide 2 supervisory references within required timeframe
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in Interqual criteria for utilization review
- Experience with Cerner EMR
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent collaboration, teamwork, and communication abilities
- Ability to prioritize and manage a dynamic caseload
- Knowledge of payer systems, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance
