Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and primary nursing principles
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, quality patient outcomes
- Monitor labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum patients with expertise and compassion
- Operate advanced fetal monitoring and med-surg equipment
- Provide education and support to new families during the perinatal period
Qualifications
- Active Alaska state RN license - we love our local nurses!
- Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience required
- Current BLS, NRP, STABLE, and HS AED certifications
- Proficiency in Meditech, OBIX, Pyxis, and bedside fetal monitoring
- Ability to float and assist in other units as needed
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience with electronic medical records and fetal monitoring systems
- Knowledge of perinatal nursing standards and protocols
