Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a fast-paced PCU unit
Monitor cardiac, neurological, and medical patients, including those on continuous EEG monitoring
Titrate and manage critical drips such as Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the hospital

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or telemetry experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book exam during orientation (90% to pass)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Positive attitude and willingness to help others
Proficiency in titrating IV drips and managing cardiac patients
