Registered Nurse - Oncology PCU/Med Surg
Location: Omaha, Nebraska

End Date: 10-05-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, self-scheduling, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to oncology and PCU patients, including chemotherapy administration
- Monitor and manage complex patient conditions, including hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator support
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery
- Float to Med Surg and PCU units as needed, maintaining high standards of care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
- Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/Oncology experience
- Chemotherapy certification (CHEMO CERT REQUIRED)
- BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
- ONS/ONCC certification preferred
- First-time travelers welcome
- Driver's license required (must live 50+ miles from facility)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records
- Experience with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000)
- Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem
