Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour rotating shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including every other weekend and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a telemetry/cardiac unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret strips, and titrate drips such as Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, and Nitro
Manage PCU-level overflow patients with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio when needed
Collaborate with charge nurse and multidisciplinary team to ensure safe patient outcomes
Float to PCU or medical-surgical units as a helping hand when needed
Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatments, and discharge plans

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum of 1 year recent PCU/telemetry experience required
Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips independently
Experience with titratable drips and telemetry monitoring
Epic experience preferred, but first-time travelers welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac assessment and monitoring skills
Proficient in IV therapy and drip titration
Excellent patient assessment and critical thinking abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing patient acuity
Effective communication and teamwork skills
