Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-focused nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure well-coordinated, holistic patient care
• Accurately document patient condition, treatment, and response to interventions
• Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor patient status
• Participate in patient transfer and discharge planning
• Foster a positive, solution-driven environment and support team development

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent emergency department nursing experience
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations applicable to freestanding emergency centers
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in triage, patient assessment, and emergency procedures
• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations
• Competency in basic respiratory services (oxygen, nebulizers, pulse oximetry)
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation
