Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, every third weekend and every other holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced Med/Surg and Telemetry unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient conditions
Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
Educate patients and families on disease management and discharge planning
Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state
BLS (AHA) certification required
ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications preferred
Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg and Telemetry experience
Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Comfortable with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Adaptable to fast-paced environments and changing patient needs
