Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations on patients of all ages, ensuring accurate diagnostic images
Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to optimize imaging protocols and patient care
Prepare and position patients, explain procedures, and address any concerns with empathy
Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure peak performance
Document patient histories and procedural details accurately in electronic health records
Uphold strict infection control and safety standards in every interaction

Qualifications

Active California state licensure as an Ultrasound Technologist (ARDMS or equivalent)
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
DCI/BVP certification required
Minimum of 1 year of recent ultrasound tech experience in a hospital setting
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with diverse patient needs
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in abdomen, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts ultrasound
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to diagnostic imaging
Skilled in using Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS)
Understanding of sterile techniques and infection prevention protocols
Ability to adapt to new technologies and procedures quickly
