Location: Omaha, NE

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating days/nights, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to PCU patients with diagnoses like CVA, TIA, and respiratory conditions
Monitor telemetry and manage common drips including Cardizem and insulin
Collaborate with a tight-knit team of nurses, charge nurses, and support staff
Perform hourly rounding and ensure responsive patient care
Float to MS areas as needed to support unit staffing

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
ACLS and BLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or telemetry experience preferred
EPIC proficiency and telemetry competency
Driver’s license required at submittal for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Strong telemetry and cardiac monitoring skills
Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
Experience with Alaris IV pumps and mechanical lifts
Ability to manage multiple patients with varying acuity
Team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
