Location: Bakersfield, CA

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating shifts including every other weekend and holidays, with 30-minute on-call rotation

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform high-quality X-ray imaging of brain, MRCP, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities
Collaborate with radiologists and lead tech to ensure accurate patient studies
Maintain equipment and workflow in a busy 2-room department
Float to Mercy Southwest location as needed (approx 6.5 miles away)
Participate in rotating call coverage with 30-minute response time

Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Current BLS certification required
ARRT certification required
Ability to start IVs not required but open to learn
Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in GE and Toshiba X-ray equipment
Experience with Radnet and Merge Unity PACS
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to adapt to fast-paced environment with high patient volume (100 studies/day)
