Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide intermediate care for cardiac and vascular patients, including post-surgical and downgraded CVICU patients
Titrate drips such as Amio, nitro, nicardipine, epi, and cardizem to manage patient conditions
Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms
Collaborate with charge nurse, intensivists, and interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care
Support the thoracic program, EP, cath lab, and structural heart procedures
Float to same level and lower levels of acuity as needed

Qualifications

Current and active RN license in Nebraska
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (required)
Minimum 1 year of experience with cardiovascular or intermediate care patient population
Valid driver's license (required for submittal)
Ability to pass an open-book exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in titration of cardiac drips (Amio, nitro, nicardipine, epi, cardizem)
Skilled in telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Knowledge of cardiac and vascular diagnoses (e.g., CHF, A fib RVR, CVA)
Strong critical thinking and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
