Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (days) or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (nights), every other weekend, self-scheduling

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized nursing care to oncology and trauma patients on a 28-bed PCU/MedSurg unit
Administer chemotherapy and titrate drips such as heparin, cardizem, and insulin
Monitor hemodynamic parameters including CVP, arterial lines, and Swan-Ganz catheters
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed to support patient care
Uphold hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
Minimum 1 year of PCU, med/surg, and/or oncology experience
First-time travelers welcome!
EPIC experience preferred but not required
Driver's license required at submission (for radius verification)

Knowledge & Skills

Chemotherapy administration and safe handling
Drip titration and hemodynamic monitoring
Trauma and oncology patient care
EPIC electronic medical record proficiency
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to adapt to fast-paced, mixed-acuity unit
