Location: Lakewood, Colorado

Start Date: 07-13-2026

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable start times (7:30 AM - 11:00 AM), primarily 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with on-call one night every six weeks; 36 hours per week

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and manage post-operative pain
Assess vital signs and intervene in acute changes
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the care team
Provide discharge education to patients and families
Respond to emergencies and assist with critical care recoveries
Document care accurately in Epic EMR

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA
Minimum 1-2 years of ED or ICU experience required
PACU experience preferred but not required
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in Epic EMR
Knowledge of PACU phase 1 and phase 2 recovery
Ability to manage ventilators and airway equipment
Excellent communication and teamwork
Comfortable with call responsibilities
