Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend, 36 hours/week

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a telemetry and PCU overflow unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret telemetry strips, and manage arrhythmias
Titrate and administer critical drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, and Nitro
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to other units as needed, including PCU and medical-surgical, as a helping hand
Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and post-procedure care

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or telemetry experience
Proven ability to read and interpret cardiac strips
Comfortable with drip titration and managing cardiac drips
Epic experience preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
PCU and cardiac care
Drip titration and IV therapy
BLS and ACLS protocols
Patient assessment and critical thinking
Team collaboration and communication
