Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Rotating 12.5-hour shifts (exact start/end times vary by schedule), includes day and night rotations and weekend coverage as needed - Med/Surg unit

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care on the Med/Surg unit for a diverse adult patient population
Assess patients, develop and implement nursing plans, and evaluate outcomes
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to coordinate patient-centered care
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
Document care thoroughly and maintain accurate patient records
Actively contribute to unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or compact RN license eligible
Experience or interest in Med/Surg nursing; prior Med/Surg experience is a strong plus
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and specialty certifications encouraged
Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and communication skills
Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and participate in rotating schedule including weekends

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Solid Med/Surg nursing principles and practices
Medication administration and documentation best practices
Patient assessment, wound care, and basic IV skills
Team collaboration, time management, and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
