Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond quickly to dysrhythmias
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Perform thorough assessments, document accurately in Meditech Expanse if available, and ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans with empathy and clarity
• Prioritize patient safety and infection control practices while supporting a positive patient experience
• Float to other units as needed to meet patient care demands with flexibility and professionalism
• Participate in unit orientation and mandatory trainings to maintain competency

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license in-hand and ready to upload
• Minimum 2 years recent Medical-Surgical experience (required)
• Telemetry experience required
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications in-hand
• NIHSS certification required and must be uploaded with profile
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Willingness to float between units as staffing needs require
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment
• Traveler requirements: include permanent address, provide two specific interview dates/times (no "anytime"), and list any requested time off at submission
• Agency partners: MA Temporary Nursing Service Agency License must be included with submissions

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry monitoring and rhythm recognition skills
• Solid Med-Surg assessment and patient prioritization abilities
• Proficient clinical documentation and charting practices; Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
• Safe medication administration and IV/dressing skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking under pressure
• Familiarity with stroke scales (NIHSS) and acute care protocols
