End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM), self-scheduling with cyclic rotation, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to post-surgical orthopedic patients, including total joint replacements and spine surgeries
Monitor and manage pain medications, antibiotics, and blood transfusions per orders
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge planning
Float to MedSurg, rehab, or PCU as needed to support the team

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska
BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Valid driver's license (required for radius rule verification)
Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg or Ortho experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Team-oriented with a willingness to help and be flexible
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to take ownership and adapt to changing patient needs
Comfortable with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
