Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling, every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to laboring patients and postpartum mothers and babies
Monitor and titrate medications such as Magnesium, Oxytocin, and other IV drips
Assess and manage patients from admission through delivery and postpartum recovery
Collaborate with charge nurse and healthcare team to ensure safe patient ratios and outcomes
Support cesarean sections by circulating for the baby while surgery team manages the procedure
Float to other units as needed (e.g., helping hands or 1:1 patient sitting)

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted RN license in North Dakota or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP or labor and delivery experience required
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required (must be current)
Ability to pass fit testing for N95 respirator (no facial hair that interferes with seal)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of AWHONN guidelines for labor and postpartum ratios
Proficiency in titrating common obstetrical IV medications
Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a rural hospital setting
Ability to work independently and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment
