Shift Type: Night shifts (112-hour schedule), every other week (EOW). Weekend requirement: every other weekend. Holidays rotate with core staff. First-to-float to sister facilities and the Woodland MedSurg unit as needed.

Candidate Pay Rate: $73.5 - $73.5 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care to adult ICU patients
• Assess and continuously monitor patients' condition using advanced ICU monitoring
• Administer medications and therapies safely and accurately per orders
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute patient care plans
• Respond to emergencies and stabilize patients using advanced cardiac and critical care skills
• Document care thoroughly and communicate changes in condition to the care team
• Support and mentor colleagues when floating to sister facilities or the MedSurg unit

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in California (or compact RN eligible and able to obtain CA authorization)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
• Previous ICU nursing experience preferred; comfort with ventilators, vasoactive drips, and complex monitoring
• Ability and willingness to float to sister facilities and to MedSurg as needed
• Ability to work nights and meet every-other-weekend requirement
• Willingness to complete any required hospital onboarding, background check, and health screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills in a high-acuity environment
• Proficiency with ICU monitoring, ventilator management, and titratable infusions
• Skilled in ECG interpretation and responding to arrhythmias
• Effective communication and teamwork across multidisciplinary teams
• Accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Adaptability when floating between units and facilities
