Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the ICU, monitoring and responding to changes in condition
• Operate and manage advanced life support and critical care equipment, including ventilators and hemodynamic monitors
• Perform comprehensive assessments, implement evidence-based interventions, and evaluate patient response
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust individualized care plans
• Lead emergency responses and apply ACLS protocols when needed
• Document patient care clearly and timely, ensuring compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
• Support patient and family education, offering compassionate communication during stressful times

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Experience in critical care/ICU nursing (clinical experience preferred)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications as listed
• Successful completion of License/Certificate Verification and required competency testing
• Meet health and screening requirements: fit test, Trinity 10 panel drug screen, immunizations (Tdap, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, COVID-19), influenza vaccine, and TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
• Willingness to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Skills Checklist

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of critical care practices, ventilator management, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Skilled in advanced cardiac life support and rapid assessment in emergencies
• Proficiency with ICU documentation and electronic health records
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and make sound clinical decisions under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff
• Familiarity with stroke assessment using NIHSS
