Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate ICU nursing care to critically ill patients during overnight shifts
• Monitor and interpret complex patient data, intervening quickly and appropriately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and adjust individualized care plans
• Administer medications, manage ventilators and advanced supports, and document thoroughly
• Serve as an advocate for patients and families, communicating clearly and empathetically
• Participate in shift handoffs and ensure continuity of care across the multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of California
• ICU experience required; recent bedside critical care experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-acuity patients and multi-source monitoring
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude for fast-paced ICU work
• Ability to work per-diem/night shifts, maintain documentation, and meet unit protocols

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep understanding of critical care principles and ICU equipment
• Proficiency with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Strong clinical assessment and rapid decision-making skills
• Skilled in medication administration and titration for complex regimens
• Comfortable with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Team-oriented approach with the ability to lead during complex clinical situations
