Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to critically ill ICU patients
• Assess and monitor patient condition, interpret vital signs and hemodynamic data
• Administer medications and therapies safely and accurately
• Operate and manage ventilators and advanced monitoring equipment
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including codes and rapid response situations
• Document care thoroughly and communicate changes in patient status to the care team
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and recovery plans

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Tennessee or compact RN licensure (must be valid prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (critical care experience required)
• Current BLS required; ACLS and other critical care certifications preferred
• Proven ability to work independently on a fast-paced ICU team
• Up-to-date immunizations and required health screenings per facility policy

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills
• Experience with ventilator management and advanced airway care
• Familiarity with hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive drips
• Comfortable with rapid decision-making in emergent situations
• Proficient documentation skills and comfort with common EMR systems
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
