Roles & Responsibilities

Oversee nursing staff and ensure high-quality patient care on assigned shifts
Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers to maintain smooth operations
Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing team members
Monitor and enforce compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and unit efficiency
Handle staffing assignments and adjust schedules to meet patient needs

Qualifications

Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience, with leadership or charge nurse experience strongly preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

Deep understanding of nursing processes, patient assessment, and clinical decision-making
Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare technology
Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
