Registered Nurse - ER/MedSurg Swing

Location: Breckenridge, Minnesota

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, D/N rotate, weekends and holidays as scheduled

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients in both ER and MedSurg swing settings
Respond quickly and effectively to a variety of emergencies in a Trauma Level IV environment
Collaborate with physicians and the care team to ensure seamless patient experiences
Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret strips with confidence using Mindray equipment
Float between ER and MedSurg swing units to support dynamic patient needs

Qualifications

Active RN license in Minnesota or compact state
Minimum 2 years of ER experience plus previous MedSurg experience
Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
PALS certification preferred
Comfortable working independently with on-call support staff

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac monitoring and strip interpretation skills
Ability to manage vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow equipment
Experience with trauma, STEMI, and stroke patient care
Excellent communication and critical-thinking abilities
Flexibility to float between ER and MedSurg swing units
